I WILL NOT FEAR – PRAYER TO CAST OUT FEAR

I WILL NOT FEAR!

When you agree with fear, you give it the right to do what you fear. But when you choose to speak and believe in faith, you activate God’s power. Fearful thinking will keep you away from God’s promises.

Why and what do we fear?

Some common fears are fear of lack, death, loneliness, people, authority, commitment, heights, germs, closed-in spaces, shadows, noises,  airplanes, dogs, cats, failure, success, rejection, being laughed at, and even fear of being attractive.

Take inventory of the areas of fear in your life. Are there any areas in your life that are being stifled because of fear? Satan is always going to bring fear against us at various times. It’s one of his major weapons. . The thing we all must learn is how not to “fear the fear.” The devil brings fear, but you can choose not to bow your knee to it. David said, “What time I am afraid, I will…trust…in You” (Psalm 56:3)

What does fear usually cause?

Doubt, torment, lack of sleep, bad decisions, disrespect, lying.

What does fear prevent?

I believe we can say that when God leads you to step out in an area to do something new, or leads you to make a bigger commitment, you may (or probably will) feel fear. We had to make a decision to either stand still in fear or move with God. I had to make the choice to be led by my head or follow the leading of my spirit.

Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Fear prevents destiny, fear prevents new opportunities, fear presents FAITH!!!! Fear should turn into FAITH!!

What does God say about fear?

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].

How do we overcome fear?

Get into Gods word  – learn how to walk in love. Forgiveness. Make right with people. Learn true Faith. Not faith with fear. We have to learn that God is in control and to give God control. Sometimes we need to clean out our closet, of the personal things that no one knows about before we can cast down fear. Holding on to it causes fear. Give examples.

How to pray against fear?

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind

2 Timothy 1:7  For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

PRAYER TO BREAK FEAR:

Father, you say you want to give me the desires of my heart. Your word also says that all the days of the afflicted are made evil by anxious and fearful thoughts, but he who has a glad and thankful heart has a continual feast, no matter what the circumstances look like. I now align myself with Your Word and I resist the enemy and he must flee. I surrender my life to you. Fear, I cast you out of my heart! In the name of Jesus, I overcome by the power of God’s Word. Thank you my Father for setting me free from the tormenting spirit of fear.  Amen!  Ps.37:4; Prov.15:15; James 4:7; 1John4:8; 1John5:4
