Make a Decision to Overcome Your Negative Situation

Make a Decision to Overcome Your Negative SituationDavid had been through a terrible attack of the enemy.  All his family had been kidnapped and all his substance had been destroyed. All this livelihood was gone when he arrived at Ziglag, a place of regret and loss.  Arriving at Zion was not an accident for David. David chose to stay on course and not remain in the ashes of defeat. When it would have been appropriate to mourn, he made the decision to praise. Eventhough the opportunity to give up was present, he sought direction from the Lord. In the natural David had plenty of excuses to abandon the pursuit of his destiny. He had gone through so much, but through it all, he believed God….not with just his words, but through his actions. He chose to see the truth of God’s Word above the darkness of the situation.

You, like David, must make the decision to set your course toward your destiny, and make a decision today to overcome your negative situation. You will not arrive there by accident, you must be purposeful, determined, and willing to let go of the hurts and problems of life. You must decide your course of action. Will your hope and dreams be buried in Ziklag, the place of doom, or will they be fulfilled in Zion, in God’s presence, in obedience to His Word?  If you choose Zion, you choose life!

Every situation in your life will demand a decision that only you can make.  God has made us promises, many promises, and He is a Holy God that always keeps His promises to them that obey and do His commandments.  It’s simple.  Make Him your Father, your Guide, your Counselor, your Helper, your Provider, your Strength, and your Wisdom.  Everything else will fall into place.  I promise you.  I’ve been in the dysfunctional, problem ridden, ridiculous attacks of the enemy, and mentally drained situations.  Truthfully, I love the person into which I have developed – In-Christ!  I made a decision to serve God and walk in obedience to His Word.  Life is a joy.  Problems?  Of course!  We live in a world where Satan is still loose and doing his evil and perverted work in all humans that allow him to do so.  But, in the midst of the problems and upheavels that come knocking on my door every day, there is One Greater that fights my battles, and will fight your battles, if we give Him preeminence in our lives.  Christ Jesus, the Anointed One, the soon Coming King, is our Hope of Glory.  Allow the Holy Spirit to hep you in all your battles.  Life can really be wonderful and fulfilling.

Enjoy this wonderful time of year.  Christ Jesus is alive and ready to set you free!

1 Samuel 30:6-8 NKJV  Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David. So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake themand without fail recover all.”

1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV  No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God isfaithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
