Women of Impact are not Bound

Women of Impact are Not Bound by Dr. Iris DelgadoWe must not allow our soul to remain bound to our past, or to people who may have abused or hurt us.  Do not remain at their level.  Life goes on quickly, like a vapor.

The things we don’t get done today may never get done.  Go up higher!  God can fill every area of your life that is broken or empty.  Ask forgiveness and forgive where appropriate.

Be cleansed.

Receive God’s grace and peace and ask for your mind to be healed.  Don’t come into the presence of God with lots of drama and a stream of habitual words and petitions, but come into His presence praying the Word with faith and being specific in your petitions.

Prepare a list of scriptures that minister to your needs and really touch your heart.  Pray using these scriptures and bringing them to God’s attention.  He will respect your faith and perform His Word in your situation.  Pay attention to your words.  Think before you speak and pray.  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you pray correctly and to reorder your desires.  Feed yourself with the Word o f God by meditating on it.

Memorize and meditate on Isaiah 26:3-5, “You will guard and keep me in perfect and constant peace as my mind, my inclination and my character is stayed on You, because I commit myself to You and I lean and hope confidently in You forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock.” (My paraphrase)

Join a Bible study and listen to the teachings of men and women who live by what they preach.  Bondage is a trick of the enemy to keep you defeated all the time. We cannot lean on our own understanding.  We must lean on God’s promises and His Word.

We cannot be disconnected from our identity in Christ.  Our identity defines who we are. Start memorizing scriptures that declare who you are in Christ Jesus and believe that you are precious and a beautiful daughter of Father God, created in His image.

Don’t allow fear to paralyze you from reaching your goals and fulfilling God’s call on your life.

When the lost, your family, your children, and your friends see that there is victory in your life and that the peace of God dwells in you, then they will believe.  When others see that no matter how many storms come into your life, your faith and trust remain strong and unwavering and you project peace and calm, they too will desire what you have.  I encourage you to firmly maintain your position in Christ by declaring who you  are in Christ and believing it in your heart.
